Antonio Gaudi’s “Casa Batllo,” has a variety of materials on the facade, creating visual interest and texture. The roof of this building is remarkably designed to resemble a sea serpent.
Gaudi applied ornate tiles to the surface of the adjoining building. The smooth surface of the tiles makes for an interesting contrast relative to the neighboring structure.
